It is Friday, the last day of finals week and I think I speak for most when I say that vacation is much needed. This term was way busier for me than normal. It is to be expected with all of the activities I managed to be involved in this year with SOAR and ASG. Also with the tougher classes that I attended and such. Laboratory sciences take up a lot of time. But, it wasn't just me and my fellow ASG members and SOAR team mates. It seemed that a lot of other students stayed very busy all term. Walking up into the LAC, I noticed every time I went up there it was full of busy students studying their behinds off. Are students getting more and more serious about their studies? I think so. I for one, know that each and every year I get more and more serious about my classes as I near that graduation date (this spring by the way). This also means that I feel like I struggle more as time goes on and my expectations heighten. That said, I am excited for the three weeks of vacation I am sure to enjoy until classes start up again in January. I usually visit my family in Arkansas during this period of time, but I find that I am at a lack of funds to make this happen this year. It truly is a shame and I miss them but they understand. Instead, I plan to spend some time with family and friends that I managed to ignore for most of the term and maybe even get a little time in the snow. After all, if it is going to be this cold, I might as well get to enjoy some snow. Also, as un-relaxing as it sounds, I do plan to start some early reading for my winter term classes so as not to fall behind. Don't worry. I won't let it consume me. I will still get relaxation as should everyone else. I want to know what everyone else has planned for their vacation. Until next time...
